A five-session mentorship in all aspects of orthopedic acupuncture. Designed for acupuncturists who struggle with treating orthopedic issues or for those who need some review. Led by Adam Schreiber, L.OM.
What this is
Are you unsatisfied with your outcomes when treating orthopedic issues? Did you not get enough ortho instruction in acupuncture school? Do you prefer learning in small groups with one-on-one instruction? If yes to any of these, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
AMP focuses on three things, in order of emphasis:
Needle technique. Hands-on practice, corrected in real time, with a strong focus on palpation and point location.
Diagnostics, assessment, & case management. Working through real cases, together.
Practice-management questions. Dedicated time to discuss challenges in running an office.
Six practitioners per cohort. A short application and interview ensure it's the right fit.

About Adam
Adam is an acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist licensed by the PA Board of Medicine and certified in Oriental Medicine by the NCCAOM. He graduated in 2004 with a Master's in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture.
He began studying orthopedic acupuncture with Matt Callison in 2008 and has continued developing advanced skills in sports medicine and advanced needling techniques. As Chief Editor, he helped Matt complete and publish the landmark textbook Sports Medicine Acupuncture. He has also completed Poney Chiang's Neuro-Meridian Integrative Acupuncture Certification program — and is lead author on a manuscript of Poney Chiang's research, which was recently published in the journal Medical Acupuncture.
Adam has taught orthopedic acupuncture at the Won Institute for Graduate Studies and has also served as a clinical supervisor there. He contributed to four clinical trials at the University of Pennsylvania on acupuncture and cancer symptom management — all published in peer-reviewed medical journals.
Adam holds a B.A. in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. When he's not at WellPoint or teaching, you might find him on the trails of the Wissahickon — hiking or biking through one of Philly's greatest hidden gems.
Common questions
Licensed acupuncturists who want structured review of orthopedic acupuncture techniques and case managment in a small group setting. For those who are struggling with treating orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. It's for practitioners whose results plateau after a few visits. It is for those who didn't get sufficient training in orthopedic acupuncture in school. Or maybe for those who want an in-depth review of orthopedic technique.
Three hours on Thursday morning at Adam's clinic in Fairmount. Starts with a short lecture on a specific othopedic topic/body region. Followed by a demonstration and needling practice. Case discussions and other questions throughout.
Since this will be such a small group, a short written application and a brief interview will help Adam ensure that you are a good fit for the program. Cohorts are capped at six people; a minimum of four is required to run the program.
